The Veterinary Lifeline Partner Program affords veterinarians and veterinary clinics immediate access to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center’s expert staff. Our staff is comprised of 25 full-time specially trained veterinarians, including 9 board-certified veterinary toxicologists and 14 certified veterinary technicians.
When you enroll in the Veterinary Lifeline Partner Program, the Animal Poison Control Center will establish an account for your clinic or practice. The creation of this account will allow our doctors to quickly recognize who you are and, in turn, allow us to move directly to assessing the exposure and resulting situation. There is no charge for enrollment in the program. One must only place critical practice or clinic information, including a credit card number, on file with the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center. We will securely maintain your credit card information. Your card will not be billed until you call to request our expert poison control service. Upon enrollment, you will enjoy all Veterinary Lifeline Partner Program benefits, even if you never call our Center.

Our specially trained and board-certified veterinary toxicologists have more than 125 years of combined experience in treating exposures to dangerous plants, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and other products that can prove potentially hazardous to animals.

This can help ensure that your medical and billing records are complete and accurate, and you can be certain that you do not mistakenly forget to charge your client for your time and for his/her professional toxicological consultation.
Support from AnToxTM. AnTox is a direct-entry online medical records system that raises the bar because it is so comprehensive and enables us to collect more patient data than any other veterinary toxicology medical record system in the world. AnTox consists of two main databases that are highly integrated—the medical records database and the medical library database.
The medical library is comprised of four sections: animal information, clinical information, substance information and therapy information. The therapy section contains protocols written by staff veterinarians that detail the most up-to-date therapy for each toxicant. The medical record system coupled with the reporting system provide comprehensive information about past case experiences and enable the Center to act as a surveillance model for emerging problems in toxicology.

Established in 1978 at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) is the only animal poison control center in North America dedicated solely to
animals. Located in Urbana, Illinois, APCC boasts a specially trained staff that provides assistance to pet owners and specific diagnostic and treatment recommendations to veterinarians. In 2005, the Center handled more than 100,000 cases.
